Another CFB Season Shamefully Ends: Grade - Incomplete

It just does not happen anywhere else in any other sport.  As we celebrate another BCS national championship, which many feel will inevitably be removed from Auburn's record book one day in the not too distant future, we are left wondering with "what could have been."  Follow along after the jump...

The final polls are out and we are faced with two unbeatens occupying the top two spots without having ever faced one another this season...and they won't.  Just like in 2004, when USC and Auburn finished 1 and 2 respectively, and Auburn screamed as loudly as they could about the injustice, this season we "finish" with TCU playing the role of "who is going to be royally screwed" by the unconscionable BCS stalwarts.  Sadly, there is no sign it will change anytime soon.

One would think after 68 teams played what amounted to glorified post-season exhibitions in 34 bowl games, that it would not be too much trouble to have just two meaningful games to settle things on the field once and for all.  How does Bill Hancock sleep at night?

How could any president of any AQ conference university actually believe in and support  a system which is so corrupt and loathed by upwards of 2/3 of college football fans, and yet stand firm in objecting to some form of closure and justice with respect to this season?

Can anyone provide a reason that is not hollowed out and sinking as to why TCU does not deserve a shot at Auburn?  Don't tell me this is the system and it is better than what we had.  That is the equivalent to either having a root canal or a colonoscopy, I'm not excited about either proposition as both options suck.

No, what we need and deserve is a completion to this and every college football season.  Anything less is criminal.
